Indoor Cycling Basics

It’s my 1st indoor cycling or “spin class” ever, do I need to take a “Beginner Class”?
No, our certified instructors are trained to guide everyone through their ride (regardless of fitness level). So just show up a little early (15 minutes or so) and let your instructor know that you are new. That’ll give a few minutes to set you up properly. Also, each bike has its own resistance control, so you can, of course, always turn down the resistance as needed.

What should I bring to class?
You’ll need a hand towel and water for your workout. We offer a water cooler if you have your own container and we sell bottled waters as well.

Are cycling shoes required?
No, the pedals have SPD clips as well as toe cages for sneakers. The harder the sole the better, but any sneaker will do. Check out our cycling shoe video for more information.

Do you have showers?
Yes, we have 2 shower stalls in the women’s room.

How do I sign-up for my free class?
Simply click on the “Everyone’s First Ride is Free” link on our homepage. After choosing your class, you’ll be prompted to create your own Just Ride account (Name, Email Address, Username/Password). When asked which Ride Card you’d like to purchase, just click on “Free First Class”. Simple as that!

What’s your cancelation policy?
If you sign up for class and find that you cannot make it, you can “early cancel” up to 3-hours before that class time without penalty. After that time, your ride card will be charged.

Do you have a waiting list for full classes?
Yes, if a class is full, you can sign up for the online waiting list. If someone cancels, you will be emailed that a bike has opened. Simply follow the link to log into your account and then register!

If I don’t sign up online, can I still take a class?
Yes, walk-ins are always welcome, but you risk not getting in if that class is full. The great thing about Just Ride’s Online Scheduling System, is that you can reserve a class months in advance.
